Seven research leaders in software engineering for Internet computing present their viewpoints on important issues that will shape this field's future. They discuss opportunities and challenges for the shifting software paradigm; stepping outside the comfort zone to revisit issues such as software correctness; improving Internet software dependability and programmability; addressing software engineering issues for the Internet of Things; exploring relationships among the Internet of Things, people, and software services; supporting a participatory culture of software development; and rethinking logging in online services.
