Kurzfassung englisch:
We report on the numerical modeling
of laser-induced cavitation bubbles with the finite volume method
using the open source software package OpenFOAM. The numerical model is validated by comparison to experimental data for the two cases of a bubble collapsing under normal ambient conditions
in an unbounded liquid as well as close to a solid wall.
