English abstract:
Operation safety in the smart grid can be secured
by prescribing constraints on the power consumption of the
end-users when considered necessary. In this paper a cohesive
integration of the grid and building control is presented. First, a
hierarchical model predictive control in smart grids for optimally
calculating grid constraints is considered. Furthermore, in order
to eff ciently incorporate grid constraints and still achieve admissible
thermal comfort in the building, a model predictive control
for building climate system with thermally activated building
structure (TABS) is suggested. The load-shifting potential of the
building with large thermal mass is demonstrated in simulations
for various climate conditions on an example of an existing
modern off ce building.
