Kurzfassung deutsch:
In multi-user and multi-carrier Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) access networks various DSL technologies, with or without crosstalk cancelation (Vectoring) capabilities, may coexist. Spectral resource management promotes collaboration among users. However, resource allocation is complicated by inter-carrier interference and strong near-end crosstalk due to mixed/asynchronous DSL technologies. Furthermore, Vectoring is subject to residual crosstalk, as well as coupling per-transceiver and per-carrier power constraints. We present a joint model of these effects, and analyze the net-data-rates of the recent G.fast and 35MHz VDSL2 technologies in a specific coexistence scenario. The results exemplify the tradeoff between upstream and downstream net-data-rates.
