Kurzfassung englisch:
Growth of traffic volume on rail and road and the increasing environmental awareness are up-to-date challenges for the European logistics sector. Presently, Central European waterways are utilized below their capacities, but are still not costly and timely efficient to be competitive. Facing these problems, a new inland vessel is constructed to reduce emissions and to shift cargo from road to inland waterways. For a competitive and resource efficient transport, an implementation scenario of the ready-to-use vessel in a container liner services is generated and its potentials are being elaborated.
