Kurzfassung englisch:
Scientific highlights of the Thin Film Division of the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (IUVSTA) are presented. Within the last three years significant progress in thin film science and technology has been made. The focus is laid on work concerning structure formation in thin films, catalytic coatings and thin film materials for energy harvesting and storage.
Further prospects and trends in thin film science will be discussed.
