English abstract:
In the last years, significant progress in modeling the microstructure evolution in complex materials has been made at TU Wien. Several new theoretical concepts and models have been developed and implemented in the software MatCalc. In this presentation, the current state of microstructure modeling and the coupling of microstructure evolution to the precipitation kinetics module of MatCalc are described. The presentation will both, introduce the new approaches, as well as illustrate the application of these models to problems in coupled precipitation kinetics with grain growth, recovery and recrystallization.
