"Surfaces of Metal Oxides Studied by STM and AFM in Liquid Environment";
Poster: 583rd WE-Heraeus-Seminar on "Electrochemical Surface Science", Physikzentrum Bad Honnef/Germany; 19.01.2015.

Kurzfassung englisch:
Metal oxides are an important class of materials since almost all metals are oxidized under ambient conditions. These materials offer a wide range of properties and therefore are used in many industrial applications. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is particularly important and is used in photocatalysis, dye-sensitized solar cells, Li-ion batteries, memristors and transparent optical conductors [1]. Surfaces of TiO2 have been extensively studied and are well understood under UHV conditions [2]. To increase our understanding of this surface under (electro)chemically relevant conditions, in situ STM and AFM in electrolytes are carried out, although challenges regarding stability and surface contamination still need to be overcome.
