English abstract:
We investigate the problem of finding an efficient topology for delay-constrained data in WSNs. Since topology control may increase the end-to-end delay, one of the criterion's that should be considered in topology control algorithms is restricting delay. Existing works utilized hop count measure for delay; yet hop count is not a suitable criterion for delay measurement because the delay is dependent on many factors such as propagation and contention delay. We introduced an appropriate measure for the end-to-end delay computation and present a novel delay-constraint topology control algorithm (NDTC). Results show NDTC satisfy the delay constraint with acceptable energy consumption.
