English abstract:
By working with ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) it is possible to reduce the wall thicknesses
of prefabricated double-wall elements to a minimum. However, when reducing the wall thicknesses,
several problems occur. To solve these problems, a new construction method was developed at TU
Wien. The theoretical background of this new construction method is described in this paper. To
verify the assumptions, made at the beginning of the development process, different tests were carried
out at the laboratory of the Institute. This paper contains a detailed description of the test specimens
and experimental procedure, as well as the test results.
