English abstract:
Wepresentanimplementationofa(mesh-free)smoothparticlehydrodynamics(SPH)algorithm,intendedfortheapplicationtosolidbodies,anduseittosimulatescratch-inducedsurfacedamageonanelasto-viscoplasticmaterial.IfconventionalSPHisusedtosimulatesolids,anunphysicallyhighartificialviscosityisrequiredtodampstrongoscillatorymodesandthusstabilizethesystem.Toovercometheseintrinsicdifficul-tiesassociatedwithmodelingsolidbodies,therecentlyimplementedso-calledtotal-LagrangianSPHutilizesanhourglasscontrolschemesimilartowhatisknownfromfiniteelementalgorithms.Elasto-viscoplasticmaterialpropertiesaremodeledbyusingtheMie-GrüneisenequationofstateandtheJohnson-Cookmodel.Thematerialparametersareselectedtoreproducethestrain-stressbehaviorofannealedoxygen-freehighconductivitycopper.Thesphericalindenterismodeledasarigidsphere.Thetopographiesofthecalculatedscratch-inducedsurfacedamageareinexcellentagreementwithexperimentalscratchtestscarriedoutatcomparablenormalloads.Wealsocalculatetherealcontactareabetweentheindenterandthesurface,al-lowingasoundestimationofthescratchhardness.
