English abstract:
Interoperability and standardized communication are highly important for system integration in home and building automation with respect to the realization of the Internet of Things. Concerning the diversity of available automation technologies and the intention of homogeneous and technology-independent integration, gateway solutions based on Web services are commonly used. In this context, this work presents the results of developing the KNX Web services specification, which defines interfaces of a gateway device in order to ease integration of KNX installations and make it more transparent by providing a KNX-independent access interface for common IT systems. Central elements are the concept of modeling KNX installations as well as the mapping and integration of these models into the supported Web service technologies (OBIX, BACnet/WS, OPC UA) using transformation rules. Moreover, examples illustrate the application of KNX Web services.
