"Artists without borders" is an exhibition with artists from all over the world, but "Artists without borders" is also one
Statement of artists from all over the world for openness tolerance and a commitment to be "world citizens", much more than
Citizens of individual states. The invited artists come from everywhere, many of them live in Austria, also the
Exhibition takes place in Austria, a country which is the focal point of the happenings in the current time. Since
In summer 2015, thousands of refugees came through Austria and present completely new challenges for the countries of the EU. In front
Especially Germany, which is the main aim to land, but of course, especially Greece, the lands of the Balkans and
Austria. Hungary has already made its mark on other countries (including Austria) to raise fences.
The Syrian conference also takes place in Vienna, making Austria a place of negotiation in the world scene.
The devastating terror attacks in Paris on 13.11.2015 have not only destroyed 129 human lives and hundreds wounded.
There is also the danger that the ditches between people deepened and sowed fear and uncertainty.

"Artists without borders" ist eine Ausstellung mit bildenden KünstlerInnen aus aller Welt, aber "Artists without borders" ist auch ein
Statement von KünstlerInnen aus aller Welt für Offenheit Toleranz und ein Bekenntnis "WeltbürgerInnen" zu sein, viel mehr noch als
BürgerInnen einzelner Staaten. Die eingeladenen KünstlerInnen kommen von überall her, viele von Ihnen leben in Österreich, auch die
Ausstellung findet in Österreich statt, ein Land welches in der momentanen Zeitgeschichte im Brennpunkt des Geschehens ist. Seit
Sommer 2015 strömen tausende Flüchtlinge durch Österreich und stellen die Länder der EU vor völlig neue Herausforderungen. Vor
allem Deutschland, welches das Hauptzielland, aber natürlich auch ganz besonders Griechenland, die Länder des Balkans und
Österreich. Ungarn hat seine Grenze bereits dichtgemacht, andere Länder (darunter auch Österreich) überlegen Zäune hoch zu ziehen.
Auch die Syrien-Konferenz findet in Wien statt und Österreich wird dadurch als Verhandlungsort zur Drehscheibe im Weltgeschehen.
Die verheerenden Terrorattacken in Paris am 13.11.2015 haben nicht nur 129 Menschenleben zerstört und hunderte verwundet, sie
habe auch die Gefahr dass die Gräben zwischen den Menschen sich vertiefen geschürt und Angst und Verunsicherung gesät.
