English abstract:
Full coverage of the energy demand by fluctuating renewables can only be achieved if the demand side can be harmonized with the supply. The presented work aims to contribute by realizing load shift potentials through a methodology for optimized control strategies, based on model-predictive controllers (MPC). The controller uses a simulation model of the energy system to predict the building behavior. This paper presents a suitable modeling approach and process to meet the demands of this form of simulation application. The feasibility of the developed model predictive controller and the according energy system modeling approach was demonstrated by implementing the controller in an office building in Vienna.
