"Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Antenna Module Integrated Into the Vehicle Chassis";
Talk: Arbeitsgemeinschaft Hochfrequenztechnik der ÖFG, 4th Workshop, Villach; 10-17-2016 - 10-18-2016.

English abstract:
A hidden vehicular antenna module is presented. The module is a cavity made from carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), which can be manufactured as part of the vehicle chassis. It offers significantly more space designated for antennas than current roof mounted modules. Antenna measurements for current intelligent transport systems are presented: 2 GHz for 2G - 4G and 5.9 GHz for vehicle to anything communication. Near-omnidirectional radiation from the hidden antenna module is achieveable.
