English abstract:
A new antenna mounting position in a cavity in the vehicle roof is presented. A prototype of the antenna cavity is manufactured from carbon fiber reinforced polymer. The performance of the antenna cavity is discussed with measurements of several antennas. Results from a monopole antenna for car-to-car communication at 5.9 GHz, a broadband conical monopole antenna for 1-10 GHz and an advanced LTE antenna with reconfigurable radiation pattern are discussed.
