Kurzfassung englisch:
The thesis reports about detailed investigations on the preparation, properties and biochemical activities of In this research new bishydrazone Schiff bases. The preparation of new ligands and their transition metal-complexes with Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) as well as various Cu(II) is reported. The obtained species have been characterized by elemental analysis, classical spectral (infrared, 1HNMR, UV-visible and ESR for Cu(II) complexes), molar conductance, magnetic and thermal measurements. Furthermore for  some oft the new species theoretical calculations using DFT calculations have been carried out. The synthesized Schiff base ligands and their metal complexes were tested for their antimicrobial and antioxidant-SOD like activities.
