English abstract:
A coupling frame-based HF RFID card is composed of a metallic frame with a slot and a module. This design enhances the card's robustness against mechanical stress. It also eliminates the need for a mechanical connection between the module and card body, which reduces the manufacturing costs. We explain the operation of such a design from first principles and highlight the effect of the slot on the performance. Furthermore, we propose our enhancements that improve either the bandwidth or the transferred voltage. In addition to introducing further enhanced design capable of achieving better bandwidth and transferred voltage, simultaneously, in comparison to classical coupling frame-based cards. Results are verified through simulations and measurements.
