Kurzfassung englisch:
Cationic photopolymerization is a powerful method for the
reproduction of coatings and thin films with outstanding product
properties. lt is insensitive towards oxygen, occurs rapidly and
proceeds in the dark after effective acid generation by photochemical
decomposition of onium salts (photoacid generators).1,2 Highly non-
nucleophilic, perfluorinated anions as BF4-, PF6-, AsF6-, SbF6- and
B(ArF)4 are used as acid forming agents.3,4 However, they exhibit low
hydrolysis stability, severe heavy metal toxicity or difficult preparation
procedures.
We prepared novel photo acid generators by introducing
perfluorinated alkoxyaluminates as low nucleophilic and stable
anions for onium salts.5,6 Their beneficial properties for cationic
photopolymerization were investigated and enable the use in a broad
spectrum of UV-curing applications.
