Abstract:
Solving the eddy current problem in laminated material using the finite element method is a challenging task. There already exist many different homogenization and multiscale methods to deal with this problem, which are based on the assumption of a periodic bulk material. This paper explores possible extensions for geometries which violate this assumptions, more specifically iron cores featuring holes.
