English abstract:
Automation of energy distribution in low-voltage distribution grids is still in its infancy. Sophisticated software and hardware components are, therefore, required in order to promote the automation concepts, such as self-diagnostic and optimization routines, early warning systems, and smart consumption (demand side management). This paper presents a customer energy management system (CEMS) to optimize operation of a building by utilizing newly developed SmartBreakers. Within the scope of a field test, potential for considerable energy saving induced by the usage of the CEMS is shown.
