The PhD- thesis begins with a clear-cut overview about the present state of the art and known literature about biologically active macrocyclic transition metal complexes derived from diamine, dihydrazide and dicarbonyl compounds. This gives an excellent overview about synthesisi, properties and application of macrocyclic ligands, forming a bases for the performed investigations.
