English abstract:
The following piece of work examines the political circumstances and the social environment of the first planning and creation until the destruction of the Viennese one-kitchen-house "Heimhof" (1922-1938). Based on this analysis,the chances of a designing a modern version of such project with a central kitchen is explored.
German abstract:
In dieser Arbeit werden die politischen Umstände und das soziale Umfeld von der Entstehung bis zum Ende des Wiener Einküchenhauses "Heimhof" rekapituliert (1922-1938). Anhand dieser Analyse wird, im Hinblick auf die heutige Positionierung des Haushalts, eine Einschätzung über Bedarf und Chancen einer zentralen Küche im städtischen Wohnungsbau versucht.
