English abstract:
Population dynamics have always been a very important global and local issue, therefore reliable predictions can be very useful for social, economical and political decisions, such as strategies in the healthcare system.
The goal of this diploma thesis is further development of an existing agent based population model. Whereas right now it is possible to predict demographic changes for only one region, this thesis will make it possible to model the development for an arbitrary number of regions, which are connected trough migration. Therefore it is necessary to develop equations describing population movements between these regions. The model will be validated based on existing data for certain areas, such as Austrian federal states. \newline
The used programming language is Python.
