Kurzfassung englisch:
This contribution gives an overview of three simulation tools providing multibody modelling libraries. First, the software tools are presented and one case study gives an insight about the implementation process. After the human knee joint, as biomechanical system, is considered and two multibody models of the knee joint are investigated. This show facilities the software offer. Furthermore, the opportunity to emed the multibody model in a closed simulation loop is discussed.
Introduction
This contribution deals with the development of multibody models in various software framewortks. The considered multibody models address biomechanical models for human knee joints. In general two main approaches exist for modelling biomechanical systems, namely
* Modelling with partial differential equations,
* Multibody modelling.
Their applications are slightly different due to their diverse mathematical description as it is explaines in 1).
