"Participation: A Reading Guide. Plethora of Methods, Plethora of Aims";
2017.

English abstract:
Participation is a much discussed concept in the fields of urban planning, architecture, urban design and many other fields. In SUNRISE, participation is one of the key concepts all activities under co-identification, co-creation, co-development, co-implementation and co-assessment build up on.
Thus, the importance of participation as a concept requires a common understanding among all involved partners in SUNRISE. This reading guide is designed to serve the purpose of an introduction to the most relevant aspects to be considered in any participation process in outlining influencing factors, and in introducing the ladder of participation for an understanding of the different ways in which citizens can be involved in planning processes.
Some suggestions on academic texts and relevant handbooks on participation can be found in the final chapter of this reading guide.
