English abstract:
In a steadily growing market of urban light-rail systems, approaches to implement condition-based maintenance strategies that meet the specific constraints of infrastructure and operations in an urban environment are required since (public) funds for maintenance works are usually scarce. Having implemented "Gläserner Fahrweg", a strategic tool to forecast the maintenance demand on a netwide basis, a joint research project with TU Vienna now aims to predict and manage specific track section´s life cycles.
