English abstract:
SCOPE: Building upon a brief discussion of the acoustics of the built environment, this chapter concentrates on the fundamentals of computational room acoustics.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: The chpter aims in the first instance to provide a general understanding of the building-related applications in environmental acoustics. More specifically, the chapter outlines the computational methods adopted in room acoustics simulation applications and explains the variety and utility of numeric performance indicators in room acoustics.
