Kurzfassung englisch:
The Hydrazones as well as their transition metal complexes have been studied and recorded in literature as good anticonvulsant, anticancer, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antitumor agents as well as antiviral agents that are useful in the medical field. Researchers are interested in the Hydrazones due to the fact that they have various donor atoms (as N-donors), that have various modes of bonding that lead to the formation of different structures.
The present thesis is aimed at the preparation of the new complexes of the Cu(II), Cd(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Pd(II) with 2-(2-((1E,2E)-1-(2-phenylhydrazineylidene) propan-2-ylidene) hydrazineyl) pyridine (L1) and 1-(2-((1E,2E)-1-(2-(p-tolyl)hydrazineylidene)propan-2-ylidene) hydrazineyl) phthalazine (L2) characterization of the prepared compounds was conducted with the use of elemental analyses, thermal (TG and DrTG), spectral (IR, UV-Visible, 1H-NMR , 13C-NMR and ESR) and magnetic measurements as well as X-ray single crystal. Some theoretical calculations were carried out using DFT method. The biological activity of the synthesized compounds was done.
