Der in den 2000er Jahren in Wien aufkommende Trend zur politischen Förderung und gesellschaftlichen Nutzung des Fahrrads als Fortbewegungsmittel im Alltag, wird zum Anlass genommen, dessen Abbildung in den Nachrichten von Massemedien am Beispiel von Tageszeitungen - zu untersuchen. Relevante Zeitungsartikel werden systematisch und nachvollziehbar erfasst und hingehend Häufigkeiten und Inhalten der Berichterstattung analysiert.

The trend towards the political advancement and social use of the bicycle as a means of transport in everyday life, which emerged in Vienna in the 2000s, is used as an opportunity to investigate its presentation in the news of mass media, using the example of newspapers. Relevant items are recorded and analyzed in a systematical and comprehensive way focusing on frequency and content of reporting.
