English abstract:
Reward structures put a lot of store on competitive promotion of the individual but looking back over my career it has been anything but an individual endeavour. It has built on work with and by a huge number of colleagues. It has also been a huge learning journey - towards being a better colleague and promoting the collective to the benefit of us all, and towards kinder, more compassionate, and more solution-focussed ways of engaging. Realising that even small actions and simple choices can have a big impact has been key.
