DGS scheinen daher erfolgversprechend.

Kurzfassung englisch:
The dynamic track stabilizer (DTS) is an integral part of the track maintenance process of many
railway infrastructure operators worldwide and is used for ballast compaction. After the track
position has been corrected by tamping machines, the following ballast compaction prevents the
occurence of track-buckling and ensures that speed-restrictions after tamping can be avoided,
because ballast compaction increases the resistance to lateral displacement of the track, which
is usually determined by the single tie push test. Since the lateral resistance is a parameter
that depends strongly on the compaction state of the ballast, the development of a system for
continuous compaction control (CCC) with the DTS is intended. The purpose of this is to
document the compaction process and thus to provide a sufficient lateral displacement resistance
after the use of the DTS.
The compaction dependence of the motion behaviour of the DTS and the sleeper was investigated
by Plasser & Theurer in cooperation with the TU Wien using a specially developed
measuring and test concept. The recorded measurement data were processed and further analysed
using the MATLAB software. Various compaction-dependent parameters were identified; in
particular, the horizontal displacement amplitudes of the DTS and the sleeper, the vertical
acceleration amplitudes of the DTS, as well as the vertical position of the dynamic centre of
rotation of the sleeper and the motion behaviour of the DTS in the plane of the dominant
directions of motion appear to be strongly influenced by the compaction state of the ballast.
Using the phase difference between unbalance excitation and the measured horizontal accelerations
of the sleeper, a possibility for determining the transverse wave velocity of the track
is presented, which has the potential to be an indicator for dynamic continuous compaction
control. Based on these results, it can be seen that the motion behaviour of the DTS and the
sleeper depends on the compaction state of the ballast. Further research on continuous dynamic
compaction control with the DTS therefore seems promising.
