"Dependable Wireless Connectivity for the Society in Motion: 5-Years Evaluation Report";
Bericht für Christian Dpppler Forschungsgesellschaft; 2020; 103 S.

Kurzfassung englisch:
The Christian Doppler Laboratory for Dependable Wireless Connectivity for the Society in Motion addresses basic research questions arising from large numbers of static and mobile wireless users, especially within urban agglomerations. The research focus is not only on enhancing human-centric mobile network capacity and best-effort high data rate services, but equally on dependable (reliability- and latency-critical) data transmissions for massive machine type communications (mMTC), specifically in the context of vehicular communications. We focus on fundamental questions relating to efficiency, reliability, latency and availability of wireless communications. The scope of the laboratory is on enhancing fifth generation (5G) and beyond link and system level technologies to realize our vision of a connected Society in Motion. We follow a holistic approach in our research efforts, combining measurement-based wireless channel characterizations with mathematical analysis/optimization on link and system level and validating results through extensive standard-compliant simulations as well as test-bed experiments.
