Today, the development of cross-blockchain applications involves a lot of complexity regarding the underlying cross-blockchain communication. In an ideal world, developers are able to completely focus on writing application logic instead of dealing with passing data between blockchains.
In this white paper, we present a framework enabling crossblockchain smart contract invocations between Ethereum-based blockchains. With just two lines of code, developers can invoke smart contracts deployed on other blockchains, e.g., they can deploy a contract on the Ethereum blockchain that calls smart contracts on the Ethereum Classic blockchain.
