English abstract:
Zero-point clamping systems are today an important component in manufacturing technology for minimizing set-up times and operating machines with maximum efficiency. There are various technological approaches to compensate for thermal influences on these clamping systems during machining. The thermal behaviour of two different zero-point clamping systems was analysed in a series of experiments at the Institute of Production Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology. Heat was brought into the system in a controlled manner and the resulting thermal displacements were measured using a coordinate measuring machine. Significant quality differences in reproducibility and accuracy were observed.
