English abstract:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is becoming more and more established in the planning phase as well as in the execution phase. Augmented Reality (AR) enables the use of BIM directly on the construction site and thus promotes the increased use of BIM in the construction pro- cess. Both tablets and smart glasses can be used for AR. From the authors´ point of view, smart glasses will offer some im- portant advantages for use on the construction site - mainly because they are hands-free.

The correct tracking of the virtual model on the construction site at all times is essential for the productive use of AR smart glasses. The construction site poses great challenges to the tracking system due to the external conditions. Many surfaces are relatively evenly gray or white. Suboptimal lighting conditions and hardly any permanent detection points make tracking more difficult. In the AR-AQ-Bau project, the authors deal with the transfer of BIM to the construction site using AR smart glasses. They carried out various tracking tests. This article shows existing problems and possible solutions for tracking the AR model on construction sites.
