Kurzfassung englisch:
The design of freeform architectures with due regard to economic and feasibility aspects is a challenging task. This talk shows how some special classes of quadrilateral meshes can be useful in the optimization of freeform structures with respect to fabrication aspects, statics, panelization, and visual smoothness of surfaces.
