"Bewertung von openBIM-Projekten: Indikatoren für die Nutzungsintensität von openBIM";
Bauingenieur, 97 (2022), 6; S. 206 - 214.

Building Information Modeling is gradually becoming more and more established in the construction industry. Due to the open standards, there is a tendency towards openBIM, especially among public clients. However, the common use of the openBIM methodology for all project participants throughout the entire planning and construction process is still relatively new and differs from conventional projects. Therefore, BIM pilot projects are used so that all project participants can learn the new processes.This learning process is all the more intensive, the more intensively openBIM is used in the project.Therefore, this article describes important indicators for this intensity of use and analyses them on the basis of an openBIM pilot project. It was shown that some indicators were implemented very quickly also by openBIM beginners,
e. g. use of IFC as well as the model-based implementation of BIM use cases.There was potential for optimization in the essential use of the collaboration platform for communication between project participants. Finally, the authors give recommendations for action to increase the intensity of use of openBIM in projects.
