This Habilitationsschrift provides an overview about my research on nonlocal nonlinear evolution equations. The focus of my research is the analysis of models in applied mathematics which involve anomalous diffusion. The presentation is done in a cumulative style of my results which I published in refereed scientific journals. In this introduction I will explain the overarching theme of this line of my research.
