English abstract:
Iterative decoding of bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM- ID) is an established transmission scheme with many benefits. Based on the factor graph representation of BICM-ID we pro- pose a way to reduce its computational complexity, exploiting the fact that log-likelihood ratios (LLRs), which are large in magnitude, express an already large confidence in the corre- sponding bits.
