Kurzfassung englisch:
Aiming for a deeper understanding of the different factors governing the spin transition behavior of Fe(II) SCO complexes we synthesized series of homologue complexes by systematic variation of the substituents of bridging N1-substituted di-tetrazole ligands of the respective iron(II) complexes[1-5] as well as for mononuclear complexes based on terminal N1-substituted tetrazole ligands.[6-8] But the classical synthetic pathway restricts the accessible substitution pattern considerable, therefore, new synthetic protocols based on either Suzuki-cross-coupling reactions of tetrazoles[9] or Sonogashira coupling[10] were developed. As one example the successful establishment of a new synthetic protocol based on the easy to prepare 4-bromobenzyl-1H-tetrazole using Suzuki-cross-coupling reactions is presented. Several Fe(II) spin crossover complexes using series of homologous boron acids (e.g. o-, m-, p-CH3 substituted) are prepared and their spin transition behavior is characterized and compared.
